Public Arts

I have been Chicago for two years. It was not short time to look around for public artworks, but I could not pay attention to public artworks because I will live Chicago for a long time. It means I have enough time to look pulic art. Some artworks was known by wide people, so I could also know these artworks on the internet as pictures such as Cloud Gate, Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Crown Fountain, and Picassos Chicago. However, I could not get clear and specific information about Chicago public arts before I did a public art tour. Website offered me not moly amazing information about the public art, but also they had a lot of information such as Landmark Tour, Theatre, Famous restaurants, and shops. One of the most impressive public artworks is Cloud Gate which is located in the heart of downtown Chicago, Millennium Park. It is named Big Bean by Chicagoan and it is 110-ton elliptical sculpture as stainless steel plates. It is also like mirror surface, so people can see Chicago’s famous skyline and the clouds above.
